Didn't have that one on the old fascism checklist. Totally couldn't see that coming from the Penthouse of Trump Tower about ten years back. No, Sir. Totally out of left field. No one could have predicted this. No one except every dictatorship for the last 1000 years. No one except those of us who've been sounding the alarm since the first time this asshole ran for president back in 1992 under Ross Perot's tiny high-pitched libertarian banner of technological fascism. It's bitterly hilarious to me that America is suddenly all, wait, what? He's banning Freedom of the Press???! but but but... And no one is more surprised and outraged than The Press itself. Hilarious. That's the very definition of irony. They used to teach that in Journalism School, but those were different days. This would be the same Press who have done nothing but carry water for this goddammed fascist since the 1970s. Trump is almost literally a creation of the American Press. They can't get enough of him. He's their monster, lurching around the countryside and tearing the limbs off the peasants.…
