BREAKING: MAGA GOES BUST! Giant Trump superstore in deep-red Tennessee is going OUT OF BUSINESS as owner admits customers have stopped coming! A massive Tennessee store devoted entirely to Donald Trump is going out of business, and its owner isn't blaming retirement, relocation or some mundane business problem. It’s a lack of customers. The sprawling Trump Superstore along Interstate 40 near Knoxville is unmistakably MAGA, plastered with enormous Trump billboards and banners and even featuring a brick outhouse labeled the “Democrat Superstore.” Now the remaining merchandise is being liquidated at 50 percent off as the real superstore prepares to shut its doors for good. Owner Bill Hays, 80, was surprisingly blunt when a Slate journalist contacted him about an earlier report suggesting he was retiring and moving south. “I’m not retiring, not moving down,” Hays insisted. An employee named Dan was even more succinct. “We’re not busy anymore.” Quite a reversal for a business that once rode the extraordinary enthusiasm surrounding Trump's MAGA movement. Hays recalled the rush following the July 2024 assassination attempt on Trump, when supporters packed the store. “People were waiting to walk in the door,” he recalled. “Everybody was going ‘Choo Choo Trump train,’ and this whole building was moving. I mean, it was just, it was unbelievable.” These days, that Trump train appears to have left the station without enough shoppers aboard. Dan admitted he sees Trump's popularity “dwindling,” but he also pointed to something potentially even more ominous for Republicans: customers simply don't have the disposable money they once did. “People really are saying, ‘I don’t know if I’m going to do a full load of groceries or I’m going to put my electric bill on a credit card this month,’” he said, blaming Trump’s tariffs and high gas prices since he launched the Iran war.
