I am in love with this Japanese Bakery! After spending almost a month in Japan, I've been trying to find a honest-to-goodness authentic Japanese Bakery with real ingredients and taste from Japan, and not some over-sugared Americanized version. The Loaf is it. Just have one bite of that salted butter roll, and if you're like me, you be transported back to those wonderful underground train station… — Joe Gunawan
Kevin and I finally stopped by The Loaf Japanese Bakery in Newhall after it was recommended to us, and I can’t believe we waited so long! If you’re looking for a cozy bakery in Newhall or a cute coffee and pastry spot in Santa Clarita, this place is such a gem. From the moment we walked in, it felt warm, inviting, and authentic. I’m so happy I found this Japanese cafe because they make my favorite banana matcha, the one I’d happily drive all the way from Los Angeles for 😍 The pastries are always super fresh and delicious too. Thank you for existing, and I sincerely wish you many long and successful years in business so you can continue delighting us with the quality of your drinks and pastries! — Veronika G
Everything was delicious. I especially liked Chocolate Emoji and Curry Pan. The chocolate emoji was so soft and fluffy, and the chocolate custard inside was amazing. The curry pan was crunchy on the outside but very soft on the inside. The curry filling was also very delicious. I will definitely come back! — Ryoko Maeda
This place is truly a hidden gem. They are a small bakery, so things do run out, and I recommend going early to get the full experience. The baked goods are so delicious and fresh. Not super sweet but more of a subtle sweetness, so now sicking sweet morning croissants. Speaking of croissants, they are buttery, flaky, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Highly recommend the Earl Grey crois… — G. R M.M
